Back to nature Saturdays.

This weekend I was lucky to be able to join my dear friend for her birthday amongst the natural elements at the stunning Wasing Estate. Numerous dips in the lake, followed by the toasty, hot sauna and warming teas with a light lunch left me feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle anything this next week.

The cold water therapy craze swept the world with Wim Hoff and open/cold water swimming is even more popular due to him.

In truth, if you can't access the sea, a river or a lake nearby (and safely) you can very simply stimulate the nervous system by plunging your face and neck into the sink full of cold water (ice optional). This will activate the vagus nerve and vessels in your face, which in turn resets the sympathetic system, taking you into a calm and relaxed state.

Simple and easy hack ;-)
